28 Day Health Challenge

Before the 28 day challenge

There are absolutely no words to describe how much I hate this picture of myself. Time to see things how they really are.

I haven’t always made the best choices. I kind of like candy and Dr. Pepper too much for my own good. When I was younger, I could get away with burning the candle at both ends and fueling myself with junk. Now my body is feeling the effect of years of misuse. I’ve come so far in the past few years and I’ve made lots of good changes, but I have so much further to go. And I will not stop until I reach my goals.

I want to —

  • Keep up with my kids and do sporty fun things as a family.
  • Shop off the rack from my favorite stores.
  • Feel good.
  • Live a really long life to see my kids’ kids’ kids’ kids.

It isn’t about reaching a certain weight for me, but weight does matter. My extra weight comes with health hazards, and the inflammation is what is affecting me most now. And I don’t want to get diabetes any time soon (big family history of type 2).

My Shaklee team is doing a 28 Day Challenge!! The first 5 days will be a detox. And the next 23 days will be healthy eating! There will be a Facebook group for support and encouragement. I will be on there!!

28 Day Health Challenge

To join us, you will need to order your kit by July 21st to be sure you get your stuff on time!

Order the 180 Turnaround Kit, plus some extra supplements for the detox portion (Alfalfa, Herb-Lax, and LiverDTX). [Yep, that is 4 total things you’ll put in your cart.]

You’ll get 45 servings of the protein powder, 14 meal bars, 10 snack bars, energy teas, and metabolic boost. And most importantly – support!! We’ll help you with shopping lists to fill in with 1 regular healthy meal each day and healthy snacks.

I can do this!

You can do this!!!

Email me at mary[at]maryorganizes.com and I will answer any questions and make sure you get added to the Facebook group after you purchase your kit.

  1. I am proud of you for posting this. You make positive changes in your home to create a loving and peaceful place for your family, and now you want the same for your health and body. I understand your feelings and I share your sentiments about myself… at my heaviest, I was 196 lbs. I’d joke I never lost the weight from being pregnant – but seriously, it’s been 14 years now! I’d get upset when shopping for clothes, worried when being winded climbing stairs, and unhappy with the girl in the mirror. Not a good place to be with 2 growing daughters watching me. My family wanted me to be happier and urged me to be more healthy.

I respectfully suggest you look into something I found out about through Flylady.net. It’s an online program offered by Jonathan Roche and his team at No Excuses Workouts. It focuses changing to a positive mindset about exercise and being a good role model for your family health- and fitness-wise. The coaches are sincerely interested in helping people make lasting changes, and they make it FUN!! They have free services as well as a paid full-service and personally supported “boot camp” (which I did 3x).

I have ditched my old ways of thinking regarding dieting, weight loss, and exercise (actually, not exercising!) I did not give up on myself even if I didn’t follow things perfectly. I am a member of his free group. At 55, I now look forward to “moving/exercising” several times each week, in-home, only 30 minutes and no equipment needed!. I am following Jonathan’s lead because I deserve to feel great — I’m slowly losing weight, feeling stronger, and looking forward to being healthier for my husband and two girls, now 14 and 16, AND myself!

Best wishes to you and much success in your efforts! You will get there! Sandy S.

    1. Wow! Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! I will check out that website. My twins turn 9 next month. I gained weight during my pregnancy with them and haven’t been able to shed it yet. Almost 10 years of carrying around all this extra weight is too much. It needs to go!

  2. This is my first time visiting your blog and I have already added it to my follow list. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your goals. You are setting such a great example for your kids (and their kids’ kids’ kids’ :) ), and your team!

  3. I also see someone I love!!! I love your courage, your determination, and your heart. You are so inspirational.

Leave a comment! I love to hear what you think!
