There are absolutely no words to describe how much I hate this picture of myself. Time to see things how they really are.
I haven’t always made the best choices. I kind of like candy and Dr. Pepper too much for my own good. When I was younger, I could get away with burning the candle at both ends and fueling myself with junk. Now my body is feeling the effect of years of misuse. I’ve come so far in the past few years and I’ve made lots of good changes, but I have so much further to go. And I will not stop until I reach my goals.
I want to —
- Keep up with my kids and do sporty fun things as a family.
- Shop off the rack from my favorite stores.
- Feel good.
- Live a really long life to see my kids’ kids’ kids’ kids.
It isn’t about reaching a certain weight for me, but weight does matter. My extra weight comes with health hazards, and the inflammation is what is affecting me most now. And I don’t want to get diabetes any time soon (big family history of type 2).
